When you are a meeting room owner or manager, there are different options for starting the audio or video call for meeting participants, depending on the call capabilities available to you. No one else can join the call until you have started it.

You start the call for a meeting from within the meeting room where your meeting takes place.

In the Voice and Video area of the meeting room, select an option, depending on the call capabilities available to you.
  • Manually call in to the meeting using your telephone. With this option, Show call-in information is displayed. Individuals in the meeting room click that link to see the meeting room call-in information, such as the conference telephone number and passcode. With this option, everyone manually calls in to the meeting.
    • Note: If you are the meeting room owner, you entered this information when you set up the meeting room, when you selected a service provider for the meeting room. This information also shows in the Voice and Video -> Service Providers preferences.
  • Click Join call icon and then click Join with my computer to have your computer connect to the call. If video is available, the video starts as soon as you join the call.
  • Click Join call icon and then select to join the audio call using your computer, telephone, or video device (if video is available). With this option, call control options are available in the meeting room for both the meeting room managers and participants.
