Implementing custom community icons in Sametime Connect and integrated clients

You are able to customize the community icon in the Sametime clients to show which community a person belongs. This screencast and attached files take you through the process step by step.
You are able to customize and implement community icons to show the difference in communities people belong to from your stand alone Sametime Connect client or the integrated full client in Lotus Notes.  Below is an exerpt of the blog post with the information and screencast.

There is also a sample file of icons linked for your testing and deployment. The screencast shows the step by step process.

Since 2006, when I first posted a set, I have used different icons for the multiple Sametime communities I connect to. I can then blend groups by project or other means, not just public groups. What you get is icons showing which community the person is associated with. The steps are easy to do and I have attached a grouping of ones I have in use. For example a cool green one for Lotus Greenhouse, yellow for BleedYellow and some fun ones you will find attached.

You may also watch the video in full size and in HD on You Tube

You may find the sample icons right here on the IdoNotes blog.
