Sametime Calls and Video Calls
Audio and video calls can be started quickly from your contact list or from an open chat window. Refer to the following graphics of the contact list and chat window to see how quickly you can make a call, access Voice and Video preferences, and even manage your phone book and call history.
Audio-only calls have an intuitive softphone with a toolbar that is consistent for stand-alone calls and meetings. The focused toolbar menu enables you to quickly access all of your call options and preferences without leaving the call window. You can also choose to see who you are on a call with by using the photo view, or you can utilize the list view which displays a consistent participant list that is used across your Sametime client.
Video calls are now in high-definition, and you can see multiple participants' video in a group call all at one time. You can also choose from different video layout options when you are in a group call. The expandable participant list, as shown in the following graphic, is also consistent with the participant list you see in an audio call or meeting. Always know who is the active speaker in a call with the active speaker highlighting and the speaker status indicator within the participant list.
