For Google Talk, include all the IP addresses resolvable from a DNS lookup of talky.l.google.com and talkz.l.google.com. The talky.l.google.com addresses are for connections that are outbound from the enterprise to Google, while the talkz.l.google.com addresses are for connections that are inbound from Google to the enterprise.

IP addresses associated with talky.l.google.com and talkz.l.google.com change occasionally. Work with your network administrator to actively monitor DNS and update the firewall rules to accommodate new IP addresses.

Google Connectivity Outage
A ticket has been opened for a Google connectivity issue where the return connection from Google is coming back on
talkz.l.google.com IP's: 74.125.154.129 & 209.85.162.29 however, these connections go into TIME_WAIT when looking at netstat results.
 
Sametime Gateway Logs report the message as follows:

Resolution

Please, follow instructions in this TN for resolution.

Title:    Customers using Lotus Sametime Gateway lost connection with Google on October 21, 2009 and cannot re-establish it.
