Roles provide a way to define the access an administrator has to the features and settings of the Sametime
® Administration Tool.
For example, the Sametime
Configuration database (stconfig.nsf) ACL contains three roles: ServerMonitor, ServerAdmin, or DatabaseAdmin. If you assign only the ServerMonitor role to an administrator, the administrator can monitor server memory, disk space, and other server statistics but cannot perform any other administrative functions. Assign all roles to an administrator if you want the administrator to have full access to all administrative functions.
