Starting in IBM
® 8.5.2 Interim Feature Release 1, the Sametime Meetings Web client introduced limited support for tablet devices.
Meetings Web client now supports tablet computers running the iOS and Android operating systems.
This support is based on mobile use of the browser-based Meetings Web client rather than a native application, and is offered with the product requirements and limitations described below.
To use the Sametime
Meetings Web client, the tablet must satisfy the requirements listed in the table that follows.

Due to limitations in mobile browsers, the Sametime
Meetings Web client does not support the following features on tablet devices:
- Appshare hosting
The user can view an application being shared by another user, but cannot share an application hosted on the tablet.
- Appshare remote control
The remote control feature is hidden during application sharing; the user can view an application being shared by another user, but cannot use the remote control feature on that shared application.
- File uploads and downloads
- Pointer and Annotations
Can be viewed but not sourced, so these features are hidden on the tablet.
In addition, please note that Sametime
accessibility features are not formally supported on tablet devices.
