Supported software versions for Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony-Trace Manager in the product release V2R0.4.5.
The following 3rd party applications are required for TM server and client functionality.
These applications are not included in the TM installation package, and they must be downloaded and manually installed from their providers.
Follow the instructions that accompany this 3rd party software for installation procedures.
.NET 2.0 SP1 or later for Windows 2003 or 2008 is required for TM. This software needs to be manually downloaded and installed on the server.
Windows 2008 server already has .NET 3.5 installed.
Active Perl is required for the RTT Trace Management Tool server component.
This software must be manually installed on the TM server. ActivePerl is essential for Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony tracing configuration and integration with the TM server.
Required Version for TM: Active Perl 5.8.9 for Windows
For new installations, the TM administrator is responsible for downloading and installing the indicated software versions from their vendors.
Customers that have any earlier version of a TM server must verify that the existing versions of the above applications are the same as the required or upgrade them if necessary.
Wireshark is an optional client component used to open trace files for further analysis.Parent topic: System Requirements TM
As of V2.0, TM no longer deliver trace file analysis tools such as Wireshark or DAT. Customers who would like to use Wireshark for detailed trace file analysis should install Wireshark on user's client PCs. It is recommend not deploying client applications on the TM server itself in order to not interfere with TM server operations.
The latest Wireshark Windows version is supported.
Users who download and install wireshark on their PC are responsible for subsequent Wireshark version updates and security fixes.
It is highly recommended to uninstall Wireshark if already installed on the TM server. If the customer has a need to keep it on the server then it is the customer's responsibility to upgrade this software on an ongoing basis to the latest stable version that includes the latest security fixes.
DAT is a Java based Lotus Enterprise Networks (SEN) internal tool that is no longer being shipped with TM. Therefore, the Java Runtime Environment that was included in previous versions is no longer needed.
Customers that have Java Runtime Environment installed on the TM server should uninstall them. If the customer has a need to keep them on the server, then it is the customer's responsibility to continually check for new updates and security fixes.
