As the initial startup screen, the Analysis Screen provides the capability to select the analysis file and options, start or abort the analysis, and display the progress of the analysis.
The Analysis File
Section allows the subscriber to select a file to be analyzed. The file name can be selected from a graphical file selection dialog by clicking on the Select Trace File
button. If no path is given, the current working directory is used. Click the Start Analysis
button to begin the analysis.
The radio buttons in the Analysis Mode
Section allow the subscriber to select the analysis mode to be used: Standard
or Real Time
modes may be selected.
Real Time Mode Options allows the subscriber to set options used during real mode analysis. This includes the setting, modifying, and removal of call trap conditions and the setting of the "Display Completed Calls Only
" option. Both of these can also be set from the command line parameters. The list of Trap conditions may also be controlled using the three control buttons to the right of the list. As many trap conditions as are needed can be entered into the list, however only one trap condition of a given type can be entered.
The "Add Trap
" button displays a dialog allowing the user to set a new trap condition, or modify an existing one. The Trap Type may be selected from a drop down list of available trap types populated from the call analysis modules. The Op
is selected from the list of either "=' (equal to) or "!=" (not equal to). The value must be entered directly into the field and may be either an exact value, or it may use regular expression syntax if delineated with "/" characters (i.e. /904532\d000/).
Analysis Control Buttons
provide control over the analysis process. The Start Analysis
button will start a pending analysis after a file has been selected, while the Abort Analysis
button will abort an analysis in progress.
Input Filter Options
allows the user to set the input filter options used during analysis. These options allow the user to restrict the trace analysis to a given subset of the input data by defining a time based "window" to be analyzed. Only records whose timestamps fall within this window will be analyzed.
The Analysis Progress and Results
window displays the progress and results of the current analysis. This includes the current record number being processed and a percentage complete indication as well as the completion indications. When running the analyzer in real mode with interval stats, the stats will be displayed here at the selected intervals.
