With the clean upgrade procedure no data is preserved or re-processed after the upgrade.
Start Clean Upgrade
With this option no trace data is re-processed. FADE will not display any pre-existing data after the upgrade.
All processed data stored in the existing MySQL database engine will not be migrated during the upgrade and the trace data files are moved from the Tracedata\<system-name>
directory to a TRACES.OLD
The files in the TRACES.OLD
folder are not re-processed; only new trace files transferred after the upgrade to the TM server will be processed by DIPAZ and displayed in FADE.
The upgrade process consists of the following steps:
Creation of a new SQLite database.Parent topic: Upgrading Strategies
Re-creation of the existing TM systems' definitions in the database.
Move of the trace data files in the Tracedata folder to the <c:\ or d:\>tracedata\<system-name>\TRACES.OLD folder.
The files in the TRACES.OLD folder will be cleaned/deleted based on the Clean Days in Rear value configured for the <system>.
