The DID (Direct Inward Dialing) feature allows an external caller to dial a national or international number and connect directly to a Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony subscriber.
The Contact information for the set of DID numbers, that is assigned to the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Enterprise server should be provisioned (static registration) at the Service Provider. The Service Provider sends all incoming call requests that are directed to any of the DID numbers to the Contact address that has been statically registered for the Telephony Control Server. The Service Provider is not aware of actually existing or currently registered clients within the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony server.
