There are recommended methods and settings for configurations, loggings, etc.
The following logging levels are the minimum logging levels recommended by Support for troubleshooting purposes.
Call Log Logging
The following call log logging levels are the recommendations of Support to provide both performance and functionality.
Session/Media Inactivity Timers
In order to manage long-running call sessions there are multiple settings that should be considered in this scenario; any one of these would "tear down" a session that would be considered no longer valid. The recommendation in this area is to set a finite value for each of these timeouts that is reasonable for the SIP network in question. Most of these settings (with the exception of the "T" timers) are to be found in the "sip-settings" container or "media" container (in the case of the media inactivity-timeout) within a session-config.
B2BUA/Proxy SIP Routing
Server Failover Detection
Dynamic Port Mapping Usage
This dynamic port mapping capability is enabled in the Acme SBC with the configuration command "set alter-contact trunk-port-per-endpoint".
In order to get media anchor = auto to work, create autonomous-ip groups from the subnets where the call should not be anchored by SBC. Below is an example setup with subnets on the access-side and the subnets on the core-side grouped into two different groups in the default session config.
Mikey0 Encryption in Pass-Through Mode
SBC can be configured not to change MIKEY-0. In the session config for the dial plan mode can be set to pass-thru.
