Performance monitoring counters are counted for answered, not-answered and errored calls for Originating and Terminating on-net and off-net calls. These counters are maintained by the continuous tracing analyzer TM that document the VoIP traffic from and to a branch.
Calls to a branch (terminating) are sent from the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony switch Telephony Control Server either
directly to the gateway (for off-net calls) or
to the OpenBranch (for on-net calls and, optionally, off-net-calls).
Calls from a branch (originating) are sent from the OpenBranch to the Telephony Control Server.
The TM database that stores Telephony Control Server trace information includes the branch name for traces of messages from and to a branch.
In TM a Branch consists of an optional Branch Gateway (to identify offnet calls) and a set of IP addresses of the Branch:
The Gateway is identified by its IP address or FQDN
The Branch is identified either by
IP address or FQDN of the Branch proxy
IP subnet or an IP/FQDN pattern (regular expression) of the branch endpoints.
This information is stored in a TM configuration file.
