Community StringsParent topic: Security topics
Community strings are like passwords that are used by SNMP. If using the wellknown community string “public” is not desirable, the system administrator can modify the community strings when creating an SNMP configuration. Refer to the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony Installation and Upgrades Guide for instructions to change the SNMP community name string from “public” to meet the site's security requirements.
