The Media server RadiSys Convedia CMS-3000 SEC has the same features like the CMS-1000 and CMS-3000. However, it will use a safer infrastructure and better data traffic control in future.
The Media server RadiSys Convedia CMS-3000 SEC is released with a future product version.
The Media server RadiSys Convedia CMS-3000 SEC has the same interfaces and the same functionality like the CMS-1000 and CMS-3000, but offers the following advantages:
Encrypted Secure Real Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) with the key management protocol Multimedia Internet Keying Profile 0
Encrypted signaling by Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) with Internet Key Exchange (IKE) and pre-shared keys.
Higher processing speed, thus improved performance at the single ports
Support of Type-of-Service (TOS) for the following types of traffic:
Media – audio and video
Management – Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
Control of the Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP)
The Media server RadiSys Convedia CMS-3000 SEC is configured via its own management interface, which can be accessed via the Telephony Control Server Assistant. Its proprietary software is the only application executed by the hardware.
If you use Telephony Application Server and deploy the Media server RadiSys Convedia CMS-3000 SEC, you require an additional Media Server for Telephony Application Server. Telephony Control Server can use one of the two Media servers or both, whereas Telephony Application Server always uses the Media Server.
