Calling Line Identification Presentation Restriction (CLIR) prevents the called party from receiving the identity of the calling party.
In order to support CLIR, a SSNE (SIP Signaling Network Element) should be able to send an anonymized From header field, a P-Asserted-Identity
header field as well a Privacy header field. A SSNE should also be able to process a received anonymized From header field, a P-Asserted-Identity
header field as well as a Privacy header field.
Functional Sequence - Sending requests and responses to SP (Service Provider)
This includes sending a P-Asserted-Identity
header field together with a Privacy:id header field. The From header field will be sent with anonymized identity information.
Functional Sequence - Receiving requests and responses from SP
The Enterprise system SHOULD be able to process a received Privacy header field values with id, user, and header as well as support for receiving an anonymous From header field.
