For redundant configurations, enterprises have the possibility to define more than one default gateway for Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony to use when sending packets to the network from VLAN/subnet-separated networks—specifically, the management, signaling, and billing/CDR (Call Detail Recording) redundant connections from each node.
To implement this capability, routing entries are added at the OS command-line level to specify a default gateway for each interface/subnet.
This capability should only be deployed if an enterprise does not permit routing between subnets on its network. Always contact your next level of support for assistance in configuring this feature.
