You need to configure the circuits to be respectively used by the Media servers. The traffic types, for which the relevant Media servers are to be used, determine, which circuits need to be configured. For example, you can have the system announcements provided by the respective Media servers of the
branches, while the central Media server enables the conference feature. For this example you need to configure the respective announcement circuit in the Media servers of the branches and the conference circuit plus the announcement circuit for the central Media server. In this case the central Media server needs the announcement circuit to adopt the features of a failed branch Media server.
Apart from the Media server, the Telephony Control Server system is already fully installed and configured.
The Media server used is already fully installed and connected to Telephony Control Server via a network connection.
An individual routing area without office code has been created for each branch.
One endpoint, normally assigned to an endpoint profile, exists for each SIP gateway and SIP proxy server system that supplies a branch.
The endpoint profile for each SIP gateway and SIP proxy server system is assigned to the associated routing area via the Routing Area
You have executed the associated previous configuration steps.

Step 1: How to Add Media Servers (distributed deployment, with branches)
Step 3: How to Modify / Add Routes to the Central Media Server
Step 4: How to Assign Media Servers to a Branch
- Switch under Telephony Control Server -> Administration -> Media Servers -> Media Servers -> <Media server> to the Circuits tab.
You see the circuits for the default traffic types of Telephony Control Server. These are: ann (System Announcement), aud (Audit), cnf (Conference), es (Surveillance).
- Perform the circuit configuration according to your requirements.
The surveillance circuit (es) may only be configured for central Media servers.
To delete an available circuit, select the associated checkbox and click on Delete.
To create an additional circuit, click on Add and specify the desired circuit settings.
- Click on OK to copy the entries to the system's database.
- Execute the described steps for all Media servers of the Media server deployment scenario.
