The Comdasys proxy server takes the registrations from the phones and passes them to the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony through the WAN. Only when the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony does not respond in a timely manner, does the local SIP proxy take over and tries to mediate the call. The proxy acts as redirect server and forwards signaling to the central Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony.
System Specific Information
Phones are registered directly at the Comdasys proxy No dual registration support is needed in case of WAN failure.
This small office configuration supports up to 100 users per Branch office:
Convergence 1600/ < 32 user MTX 1404
Convergence 2600/ < 100 user MTX 1531/1631
Convergence 3600/ < 1500 users
