You need to log on to the Common Management Portal with an administrator account for administering the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony communications solution therein. The administrator accounts are managed in the Common Management Portal with the help of the domain management, user management, user profile management and access control lists.
With the domain management you can divide the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony system into different domains. The system can be split into domains, where each domain corresponds to a separate administration area with independent administration rights.
With the user-profile management you administer the access privileges for administrators and users of the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony system in the defaulted manner.
With the user management you administer the user accounts for the Lotus Sametime Unified Telephony system. This comprises in particular the user-individual contact information and access privileges.

Policy for User PINs
You can define system-spanning requirements, user PINs have to satisfy.
Telephony Control Server can currently only be operated with one domain – the predefined system domain system
. Therefore, no foreign users are currently supported.
Access Control Lists
You can use access control lists to control which administrators may see selected configuration units in the Telephony Control Server Assistant as available. Even if a configuration unit is displayed to an administrator as available, he/she cannot access its settings.
