Note: IBM Sametime Mobile Meetings for Android does not support the receiving of in-bound calls using Sametime Unified Telephony or Sametime Voice.
The first option is SUT Lite, which only supports softphone (VoIP) dialing, or full SUT support which gives you the ability to provide a ringback number. Using a ringback number means Sametime Voice will first call you at the ringback number provided and then connect you to the Phone Number in the Dial a Number dialog. The ringback number can be any of your preferred numbers, or it can be a number that you provide.
When Sametime Voice is available as a dial method, it means you have, at least, been provisioned for SUT Lite. If there is an arrow icon to the right of Sametime Voice in the Dial Method dialog, it means you are provisioned for full SUT. Tapping the arrow icon lets you choose if you want to use a ringback number. If you turn User Ringback ON, you will be prompted to select a ringback number from your list of preferred numbers or specify a different one. If User Ringback is set to OFF, the call will be a VoIP call.
Note: A connection to a Sametime proxy server is required for Sametime Voice support.
Note: If you are not provisioned for SUT, then you will not have the Sametime Voice option in the Dial Method dialog. For more information on provisioning for SUT, contact your system administrator.
Note: When using a ringback number, Sametime Meetings is not able to dial a passcode or host code for you. Rather, the application will display the passcode or host code so that you can manually dial it once the connection is made.
