|You can participate in a meeting by viewing the content being shared by the presenter, displaying those who have joined the room, viewing and sending discussion items, and sharing documents from the library.
The table below describes the features and actions of each option available in the Meeting Room.

|Meeting||Switches to the main view of the meeting, where presentations are shared. Available on the bottom panel. This is an Android phone only button, the main meeting area on an Android tablet displays to the right of the left panel. |
Note: Phone users begin in the Meeting view. On a phone, there is no icon for this view. To return to the Meeting view after opening one of the secondary views (Participants, Library, or Discussion), press the Back button.
|Participants||Switches to the Participants view on an Android phone. The Participants option lists all participants and room owners in the meeting. Available on the bottom panel.|
Note: On an Android phone, this icon appears as a group of people.
|Library||Switches to the Library view on an Android phone. The Library option shows all user uploaded files available for the meeting. Available on the bottom panel. |
Note: On an Android phone, this icon appears as a filing cabinet.
|Discussion ||Switches to the Discussion view on an Android phone. The Discussions option shows all messages between the room participants for the meeting. Available on the bottom panel.|
Note: On an Android phone, this icon appears as a chat bubble.
|Raise Hand/Lower Hand||Raises or lowers the users hand in the meeting. Press the hand icon on the top right of the screen. The icon will glow slightly to indicate your hand is raised.|
|Options menu||Opening the Options menu allows for additional meeting room options, including:
- Add to favorites
Add the meeting room to your Favorites list
- Remove from Favorites
Remove the meeting room from your Favorites list.
- Meeting Info
Displays the details about the selected room including the room URL and any call-in information that the room owner may have specified.
- Room Tools (managers and room owners only)
A sub-dialog with the following options.
- Change Room Settings
Allows you to change basic room settings, such as the room name, security settings, and call in information. You can also set whether the room is a "Large Meeting" in order to improve performance. In IBM SmartCloud meeting rooms, a "Large" room is called a "Lecture-style meeting".
- Change Permissions
Allows you to set who (everyone, selected participants, or owners and managers only) can perform a variety of meeting functions (present, download from the library, record the meeting room, and manage the meeting room).
- Create Meeting Report
- Remove Room Content
Removes all content from both the Library and the Discussion views.
- Leave/End Meeting
Participants can tap Leave on a phone, or Leave Meeting on a tablet, to exit the meeting.
Managers and room owners can tap End on a phone, or End Meeting on a a tablet, to display additional options. You can tap Leave or Leave Meeting to exit the meeting. You can also press End or End Meeting to end the meeting for all users in the room.
Note: If you are in an IBM SmartCloud room and you are provisioned for IBM Connections, you will be prompted with the option to create a meeting report before ending the meeting. Meeting reports are saved in your My Files section of IBM Connections.
On an Android tablet, the left sidebar, which displays the Participant, Library, and Discussion information, can be hidden or shown by tapping the side panel action in the action bar.
