|If you see Preferred device icon or Preferred device icon in your status card, you can make and receive calls from your contact list, through a physical phone. You might need to click Show server connection details to see that preferred device option. If you do not see a preferred device, calls automatically go through your computer.

- To call someone through a physical phone, click in your status card, and select the device that you want to use for outgoing calls. in your status card, and select the device that you want to use for outgoing calls.
If you see
instead, outgoing calls already go through a physical phone, but you can select or add a different phone.
- To add a device, click New Number.
- After a physical phone is selected as your preferred device, make a call.
