|During a meeting, meeting room owners and managers can mute and unmute all participants or individuals. Meeting participants can also mute and unmute themselves.

- Do one of the following actions, if you are a meeting room owner or manager:
- To mute all participants' telephones except for the meeting room manager, click More -> Moderator Controls -> Mute All.
Note: Individual participants can unmute themselves. In addition, if the meeting room is optimized for large meetings, then all participants, except the meeting room manager, might be on mute automatically when they join the meeting. This type of meeting is set in a meeting room by clicking Room Tools -> Change Room Settings and selecting Optimize for this room for large meetings.
- To mute an individual, in the Participant list, right-click the connection status for a participant, such as , and then click Mute Participant.
