® you might have more than one service provider, for example, one that provides support for audio calls using your computer that you initiate and another that supports video calls that you initiate.
A service provider is a company that hosts or provides back-end computers and services to other companies or individuals. Your company might have one or more service providers integrated into Sametime
to provide audio call and video call capabilities. If this is the case, you might be able to select one service provider to use for audio calls and another for video calls.
In addition, a server community can have more than one service provider integrated into it, in which case you can select which service provider to use with that server community. Be aware that service providers integrated into a specific server community will work optimally for making and receiving calls from contacts in that same server community.
If your company has no additional service providers integrated into Sametime
, Sametime Audio/Video Conferencing
hosts all calls and there will be no option to select which service provider to use.
