If you have this capability, telephone numbers, people's names, and any other recognized "content types" that appear in chat windows and chat history are automatically underlined and "live", just like a link on a Web page. Clicking the underline displays a list of options to carry out on that phone number or contact name.
Your administrator determines whether or not you have live text and, if you do, which items or "content types" support live text and the options available for them.
