Lotus Workplace Application Database 3.0.1 Windows XP

I am a little bit go crazy when debugging a Lotus Workflow application. May be I am really new to LWF so I would like to seek your help.

I found that there is an activity which after submit, the status remains unchanged and in the binder, it shows it is "ready to route". Actually, all activity was set to route immediately and thus the background agent was not triggered for years.

When I try to debug the cause of this, I found that it may due to the user name was not in the Organization Database. And I have fixed it by adding the name in Org DB. However, my question is "How to reactivate the activity to route to the next stage?" Now, it seems that no one can claim and edit the case. And I don't want to trigger the background agent as I am afraid it trigger some other problems (remember it has not been triggered for years). So what should I do?

I think I may change some fields so as to allow user to re-edit it and submit again. But I am not sure which fields should I change. I have tried once and it only mess up the document and worser than before.

Hope somebody can help me... It already takes me a day to investigate it although I was supposed to solve it in at most half day.

Thanks in advance...

- Cat Ho.
