Modify (OSServerQueue) View Selection Formula

Lotus Workplace Application Database 3.0 Windows 2000
We have a Lotus WF process database set up as a mail-in db. The reason it needs to receive mail is that once a job is completed, it emails users with return receipts enabled. Once all of the return receipts have been received on a particular job, it is archived.
The problem is that the mail-in db appears in the NAB and people can send mail to it. These mail documents end up in the (OSServerQueue) view and the OS backgrounder tries to process it and errors out in the server log. The workaround I thought of was to add Form != "Memo" in the selection formula of the view but I am a bit nervous about modifiying the view.
Has anyone had any experience modifying this view?
