Question about "(OS InstanceIDByProcessID)" view

Hello,
We are currently facing some performance degradations with our WF app. I'd like to know why the view "(OS InstanceIDByProcessID)" has no selection formula and could we restrict it ourselves to documents containing the fields ProcessIDOS and/or InstanceIDOS ??
