We are considering to implement our quality system (certified according to ISO 9001 , 14001 and OHASA 18001) by integrarting Document Manager and LWF. We have been working with Document Manager for the last 1,5 years, so I have got a good picture about its functionality.
I have never worked with LWF before though and would like to get some opinions from people that have integrated the two systems. Is LWF a good solution for this purpose? Is it easy to use and create processes?
There are a number of issues that we need to avaluate before we make this step. For example:
1. According to these international standards, all documents should be reviewd once a year. Can we set up an automated process in LWF that starts a process based on the last review date automatically?
2. After the review process the document should retain its version number (if it is approved)- is this possible, or every time a document is checked in and out of document manager gets a new version number?
3. Are there any known serious issues with the intergation with Document Manager?
4. Can a process be initiated within another process under certain conditions?
Of course everything is doable, but we would like to avoid customizations as much as possible (except custom subforms of course)
Has anyone any experience with these issues above?
