I got this working previously by just using the web agent to collect the data and then processing it with a second scheduled agent on the server which also initiated the workflow stuff successfully.
I was hoping to combine all the functions in the same agent. But if DWFs just do not work in a web agent I suppose I will have to go back to the original design. The user will then experience a time lag but at least the agent will work.
