RE: Help with @adjust'ing a date in view overall selection
Kevin Pettitt 12.Sep.02 03:44 PM a Web browser
Domino Designer -- Views 5.0.4a Windows NT

It's been a while since I tried this, but I do recall that it at least worked.

First, set your view selection to something like this:

Todaytmp := @TextToTime(@Environment("TodayVar"));
SELECT DateComposed > @Adjust(Todaytmp;0;0;-4;0;0;0)

Second, write an agent that runs nightly on the every server where you have a replica of the db at 12:05 or so that looks like this:

ENVIRONMENT TodayVar := @Today

Note: this agent can run from any database, not necessarily the one with the view we're working on.

Finally, have your Admins create a Server Program document (or documents) in the NAB that runs an UPDALL on each affected view (or whole databases if you have several). This command would look something like this if run from the server console:

Load updall SALES.NSF -T OrderView

Somebody else may be able to suggest improvements to this approach, especially since I did it in a 4.6 environment several years ago.
