The ComposeDocument method isn't really appropriate here. Try this more direct way of setting the "note" doc:
Set Note = db2.Createdocument
'...build your document in the backend...
Note.Form = "Call"
Note.~$ConflictAction = "1" 'assuming you want to merge replication conflicts
note.Body = temp 'may not work if Body is RTF
note.Subject = mytemp
note.Company = IS
note.Contact = temp1
note.Phone = temp2
note.Update = temp3
rtitem = New NotesRichTextItem( note, "RefNum")
Call rtitem.appendDoclink(note, "iRenLink") 'see comment below
note.SaveOptions = "0"
'...THEN show "note" in the front end...
Call ws.EditDocument( True, Note)
I'm not sure if its intentional, but the code as written seems to be trying to put a doclink to the "note" doc on itself. If you're trying to put a link to the main uidoc on the note doc, you'll need something like:
dim maindoc as Notesdocument
Set mainuidoc = ws.CurrentDocument
Set maindoc = mainuidoc.document
'...then later on
Call rtitem.appendDoclink(maindoc, "iRenLink")
